Interview With Melissa Neitzke From Wildlife Management Services

Wildlife Management Services (Critter Control MN) has provided humane, effective wildlife and pest control in Minneapolis for over 30 years. Their state-certified team specializes in eco-friendly solutions for homes, businesses, and municipalities.

In this interview, General Manager Melissa Neitzke shares how the A24 rodent control product has enhanced their operations, offering an efficient, humane alternative to traditional rodenticides. Her insights provide valuable strategies for modern pest management.

Melissa helped her client get rid of 7 mice in the attic with the A24 rat & mouse trap.

ATC: How did you first hear about the A24 and what prompted you to try it?
Melissa: I believe the first time I saw the A24 was in the NWCOA catalog. (I am not positive if it was NWCOA for certain, but I know it was a catalog). I was looking for an effective method of population control without using rodenticides.

ATC: What specific rodent control challenges were you facing before using our product?
Melissa: Frequency and effectiveness of other types of rodent traps (we are using this mostly for mice and it works great!), clients who do not want to use treatments at their homes and we didn't have other effective population control methods.

ATC: How has our product impacted your day-to-day operations?
Melissa: We have only purchased a few products, but the product has helped us greatly in identifying and population control in our client's attic spaces.

ATC: Have you experienced any unexpected benefits from using our product?
Melissa: We were happy that we could use an alternate bait option than the one provided. We have found more success using our own peanut butter in the trap rather than the given bait.

ATC: How easy was it to incorporate our product into your existing rodent control processes?
Melissa: Seamless. We use this as an alternative to other mice/rodent traps. Less site visits and more critters dispatched.

ATC: Would you recommend our product to other pest control professionals? Why or why not?
Melissa: YES, and I have! I recommend this to anyone that works on rodent control. It doesn't work in every situation, but in areas with large infestation and as an alternative to bait stations, this works great!!

ATC: What results have you seen so far in terms of rodent populations and overall client satisfaction?
Melissa: Quicker rodent population reduction with results you can see (especially with the digital strike counter).

ATC: What’s your favorite feature of our product, and why?
Melissa: Ability to place the trap and leave it for multiple days without checking it. Less visits, better results.

ATC: Looking forward, how do you plan to integrate this product into your services long-term?
Melissa: If we have clients looking for population control long term without rodenticides, we plan to offer a recurring service interior/exterior to check the traps.

ATC: Have you been able to take on more clients or projects due to the reduced labor demands with our product?
Melissa: We have taken on more clients because we have a different method of population control besides using rodenticides.

ATC: Do you feel that the reduction in labor has led to cost savings or increased profitability for your business?
Melissa: It is too soon to tell, but I know it has increased efficiency thus far. We have not been able to try all of the products quite yet.

ATC: What types of environments or properties have you found our product to be most effective in?
Melissa: Attics!! Clients are convinced they have squirrel activity until we set the A24 with a trail cam and can show them that they just have mice, and usually a lot of them!

ATC: What types of businesses or facilities (e.g., restaurants, warehouses, farms) would benefit the most from using our product?
Melissa: Farms and rural clients could benefit greatly from this form of population control. The only issues we see arising in urban areas are people tampering or taking our traps. In those situations, the boxes should help as long as we can secure them successfully.
